The OMX3200 provides users ultimate flexibility with a modular chassis design supporting four hot swappable modules. Each module can be software configured to operate in a specific operating mode based on the signal type the user intends to monitor.
Automated Mass Cyber Surveillance for Optical Networks
Monitoring fibre networks at this scale requires significant levels of manual survey to enable access to targeted IP traffic and generate invaluable signal intelligence . NetQuest’s OMX3200 replaces the need for lengthy manual labour diagnosing WAN protocols by offering automated network survey via zero-touch WAN auto-discovery. The OMX will extract targeted IP traffic carried over DWDM, Ethernet, OTN and legacy SDH networks and combine this with line-rate advanced packet processing and enriched IPFIX metadata generation.
Also available from Phoenix Datacom, Huber+Suhner Polatis Switches provide dynamic high-capacity all-optical connectivity between large fibre networks and analysis tools – allowing large monitoring solutions to leverage costly tool ports across many fibres. Ultra-low optical insertion loss is critical for monitoring long-haul and regional networks where minimising optical impairments is necessary for preserving signal characteristics and link margins.
NetQuest’s Alpine Patrol software combines these technologies to provide an automated application capable of scaling to meet the demands of international optical networks. The solution scans large fibre plants to track signaling contents by storing intelligent metadata so that critical surveillance can be enabled for individual fibres on demand. The solution dramatically reduces cost by removing the need for on-premise Engineer visits and significantly reduces the required number of SIGINT tool ports.
Real-time IPFIX Analysis to Reduce Time to Threat Detection
The OMX3200 delivers high-capacity IPFIX flow metering and flow record generation for network security that helps answer the who, what, when and where. The compact modular design supports up to four flow processing modules in a single rack unit, with each module supporting unsampled N x 100G flow processing. The OMX3200 also supports targeting specific flows of interest and packet forwarding to other tools for deeper analysis.

You can now migrate to an innovative visibility fabric based on merchant silicon switches for cost-effective access and the OMX for N x 100G advanced packet processing. The compact modular design supports up to four 8 x 100G cards in a single rack unit for up to 3.2Tbps of advanced processing.
