The 10/100/1000 1x2 Aggregation Filter Tap allows the failsafe pass through of duplex data over standard UTP Cat 5 cable. Employing 64MB of memory, this aggregation tap enables both sides of the duplex link to be monitored on a single interface.

This tap's ‘Link Safe' feature enables link failures to be observed by network elements both sides of the tap, thereby enabling routers and switches to execute redundancy whenever such failures occur. This Tap guarantees the preservation of original packet order during aggregation.

Filtering allows traffic to be distinguished according to source and destination address as well as by specific protocols, such as HTTP, VoIP, etc. The filter option also enables screening of the monitoring traffic to ensure zero packet loss during aggregation of heavily loaded networks. Management interfaces include Telnet, SNMP and HTTP web interfaces.
