Decoding the optical signals this device re-clocks the data and electronically replicates an exact copy (including line errors) to two transmit-only RJ45 monitoring ports. A user is therefore able to monitor a full duplex gigabit singlemode (1310nm) network with a gigabit copper device thereby reducing the costs to monitor a high-speed singlemode link and increasing the ROI on any copper based IDS or Analyzer.
In re-clocking the signal the Gigabit LX-TX Tap maximizes transmission quality and power throughput on both the network and monitoring streams. Multiple LEDs indicate power, link and activity status for easy installation and troubleshooting with connected network equipment. |
